LISLE, Ill. -- Prairie City Bakery's new Gourmet Cupcakes won first prize at the Royal Buying Group (RBG) annual Independent C-Store Expo (I-C-Expo). RBG introduced the new product display as a new element to the 3013 event, held on Feb. 28 at the Chicago Marriott in Burr Ridge, Ill.
The new product display, which gave companies the opportunity to present their new products to the industry and the hundreds of independent convenience store retailers who attended the tradeshow.
RBG included a ballot with the new product display to determine which new products attendees considered the best. The first-place winner of the best new product based on this ballot was Prairie City Bakery with their new Gourmet Cupcakes. The second place winner was Perfetti Van Melle with their new Airheads Bites, followed by GreenSmartLiving as the third place winner with its new eCigarette Display.
Additional new products display participants included Altria, American Licorice, The Chocolate Lady, CIGR8, Crown Seven, Dart Container, Davidoff of Geneva, Digital Currency, General Mills, GoPicnic Inc., In-Zone Brands, Kellogg's, New Image Global, NutraFuels, Oberto, Pan-Oston Company, Scandinavian Tobacco, Swisher, Troop Fuels and Unilever.
