Loyalty solution provides c-stores, fuel retailers savings in credit-card fees, more
ATLANTA -- Sionic Mobile, an mCommerce company providing mobile gifting, payments and rewards and Liberty USA, a major supplier of convenience and beverage products, have announced a strategic partnership to provide Liberty USA's 2,000 chain customers with Sionic Mobile's ION Loyalty solution. The cloud-based ION platform uses mobile devices to connect merchants with nearby, ready-to-spend consumers.
ION Loyalty for merchants saves fuel retailers up to 75% or more in credit-card fees, helps increase traffic and high-margin sales, and rewards customers for their repeat business. ION Rewards gives consumers 3% free fuel every time, rewards them up to 2% instantly when they pay with their phones inside and gives bonus IONs for buying promoted items, gifting to others and connecting with friends.
"I feel ION will help our customers battle some of the major universal problems that we all face. First, it reduces credit card fees for our customers. Second, it will drive an increase of in-store traffic & sales. We can use ION to push sales through in-store promotions & reclaim the credit card fees back into our customers' profits," said Matthew McGuirk, managing partner of Liberty USA. "The response from our chain and independent customers alike has been overwhelmingly positive."
Liberty USA formally launches ION Loyalty on Nov. 20 when it hosts its customers for Vendor Days 2014 at Nemcaolin Woodlands Resort. The companies expect to have several thousand locations ION-enabled within a few short months.
"Liberty USA's dynamic growth over its 54-year history has been attributed to delivering innovative and unique sales and profit generating solutions to its customers," said Ronald Herman, CEO of Sionic Mobile. "We are excited to be contributing our mobile solution as Liberty USA continues to grow by helping their fuel retailer and convenience store customers increase fuel volume and inside sales while dramatically cutting costs."
Atlanta-based Sionic Mobile is the maker and provider of ION, the first fully digital mobile marketing, gifting, payment and loyalty rewards app for phones and tablets. ION Loyalty for merchants cuts credit-card fees by 75%, helps increase high-margin sales and instantly thanks good customers for their repeat business. ION Rewards gives consumers 3% free fuel, rewards them up to 2% every time they pay with their phone at any ION merchant, and gives bonus IONs for gifting to others and connecting with friends. The free apps support iOS and most Android devices.
Liberty USA was founded by Francis "Red" McGuirk in 1959. Liberty is one of the largest independently owned convenience store suppliers in Pennsylvania and in the country, servicing 2,000 retail customers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky and Virginia.
