MANSURA, La. -- St. Romain Oil Co., operating 10 convenience stores under the Y-Not Stop flag in central Louisiana, has partnered with OpenStore by GasBuddy to launch the chain's interactive digital marketing strategy.
This new approach to marketing will give Y-Not Stop the advantage it needs to acquire new customers and increase in-store sales, the companies said.
OpenStore is a complete digital marketing solution for convenience store owners that provides everything retailers need to bring customers to their stores, without having to build and maintain their own IT systems. With OpenStore, Y-Not now has the ability to reach customers through its own branded mobile app, individual store web pages, mobile coupons and more.
"We are so excited about the launch of our Y-Not Stop app," said Anne Gauthier, CFO of St. Romain Oil. "I believe that it will help us to achieve our mission to refuel and refresh our communities by making it even more convenient for our guests to shop and save with us and to share their feedback with us."
"We are thrilled to collaborate with Y-Not Stop and look forward to the possibilities that digital marketing strategies will provide them," said Jason Toews, co-founder and CEO of OpenStore by GasBuddy, Gaithersburg, Md. "OpenStore is a complete turnkey solution that will support Y-Not Stop's strategies to reach their customers with targeted marketing and powerful messaging."
St. Romain Oil Co. Inc. was founded in 1970 by Edmond St. Romain to provide fuels and lubricants to farmers, loggers, construction, riverboats, generators and service stations in central Louisiana. Their first convenience store was at a Shell station in Mansura, La., in 1987, and from then on they continued to buy or build other stores throughout the state. In 2009, the company sold its commercial fuels division to focus on the direct retail business.
OpenStore by GasBuddy increases customer loyalty by providing two-way communication between convenience store owners and customers using web technologies and custom branded mobile applications. The OpenStore dashboard makes it easy to collect customer feedback, manage social media, deliver mobile coupons and text message campaigns all from one location.
