Gilbarco, Outcast Media Ramp Up Applause TV Coverage

Expanding at-pump interactive merchandising system nationwide

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco Veeder-Root and digital media partner Outcast Media Inc. have announced the nationwide expansion of Applause TV with Outcast, a major interactive digital media system integrated into the dispenser that delivers full motion video and on-demand couponing. The companies launched the initial program in the top-20 markets in October 2010.

Applause TV allows retailers to entertain and inform their customers, while providing them with reasons to come inside the store for higher margin purchases. The system delivers third-party national advertising, [image-nocss] retailer advertising, news and entertainment content on the large color screens embedded within the gasoline dispenser, along with consumer interaction and on-demand coupons at the pump. Fully managed programming includes content from CBS, ABC, Comedy Central, Warner Bros. Pictures and more than 20 other content providers, as well as community-oriented content, including Amber Alerts.
