WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Kum & Go LC opened a new convenience store in Neosho, Mo., on August 21. The 3,400-square-foot store took 84 days to construct, the company said. It is the retailer's second store in the southwestern Missouri town near Joplin.

The new store features 12 conventional fueling stations, including space for semitrailers and offers unleaded, unleaded plus and premium gasoline, E85 and diesel fuels.

Kum & Go stores feature a variety of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches and Nuclear [image-nocss] energy drinks. The West Des Moines, Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the Hiland brand at this location.

Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president & CEO, said, "We are eager to offer interstate travelers, businesses and patrons within the Neosho community an additional Kum & Go location for all their convenience store needs."

Kum & Go prides itself on providing patrons with the ideal customer experience, it said. In 2007, the company was voted No. 1 in customer service out of seven major c-store chains and earned the national Excellence in Customer Service Outlook Award from CSP magazine.

"We want Kum & Go to become Neosho's store of choice for coffee or pop in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between," Krause said.

As part of Kum & Go's commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Neosho store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

Family-owned Kum & Go has more than 400 c-stores in 12 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wyoming and Wisconsin).
