"Cool Flash & Free Gas Along the Way" sweepstakes will award free gas, electronics
ODESSA, Texas -- Alon Brands Inc. has launched the "Cool Flash & Free Gas Along the Way" promotion in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The chain is giving away a total of $120,000 in gasoline.
The company announced on Facebook: "Win one of 3 incredible giveaways by helping us get 1,000 new Facebook fans. If we reach this many fans this week, we will give away 20 prizes to 20 randomly selected winners. Here's how you could help us reach 1,000 new Facebook fans: Simply post the following status update on your Facebook wall: Win free gas by "LIKING" our Facebook Page: [image-nocss] http://facebook.com/alonbrands. You could win one of the following: $250 of free gas, $100 of free gas, $25 of free gas."
The company is also running a web contest for June: "Enter your details in the [online form] for a chance to win 1 of 5 incredible prizes. 75+ winners chosen every month! You could win one of the following: $2,000 of free gas, $250 of free gas, $100 of free gas, $25 of free gas."
Other prizes to be awarded as part of the summer promotion include 45 free Garmin GPS devices (customers enter by texting a code), 45 free FLIP Ultra HD videocameras (customers enter by joining Alon Brands on Facebook and Twitter) and 5 Apple iPad 2s (customers enter on the Alon Brands website).
The prize will be awarded in the form of Fina Flash Cash valuing $2,500, the company said. The approximate retail value of the free year of gasoline prize is $2,500. For the purposes of this Prize, gasoline for one year" is calculated as the average consumer's yearly fuel consumption of 718 gallons (4.4 gasoline transactions per month at 13.6 gallons per fuel purchase). Fluctuations in gasoline prices after this date will not affect calculation of the prize amount.
Odessa, Texas-based Alon Brands owns and operates Southwest Convenience Stores, with more than 300 locations branded 7-Eleven in Texas and New Mexico. SCS is the largest domestic licensee of 7-Eleven in the United States. SCS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dallas-based Alon USA Energy Inc./Alon Brands. SCS markets its fuel under the FINA brand. The company also distributes fuel to approximately 350 dealer locations.
