SEYMOUR, Ind. -- Gary F. Myers, president and CEO of Kocolene Development Corp., an employee owned company, recently announced three company promotions.

Andrea S. Myers has been named president of Kocolene Marketing LLC, a subsidiary of Seymour, Ind.-based Kocolene Development, effective Oct. 1, 2012. She is executive vice president of Kocolene Development and sits on the company's board of directors, operations committee, management committee and executive committee and is head of the merchandising department. Andrea is in charge of all nonfuel purchases for Kocolene's 29 retail stores, which include its Fast Max convenience stores and Smokers Host discount tobacco stores.

Myers is the fourth generation of family leadership for Kocolene, which was founded in 1938. She grew up in the business and worked in Kocolene stores during summer breaks from high school and college. She currently serves on the board of directors of Girls Inc. of Jackson County and the National Association of Tobacco Outlets (NATO). In 2012, she was awarded the Pinnacle Award by NATO for her support and significant commitment to protecting the right to sell tobacco products without undue regulation or unfair taxation.

"It has been especially pleasing to see Andrea develop into a valuable leader within our company and also receive recognition nationally as a very knowledgeable leader within our industry," Gary Myers said.

Celeste Lucas assumed the role of merchandise associate for Kocolene Marketing on Sept. 4, 2012. She began her career with Kocolene in 2001 as an assistant manager of a Fast Max store. She also managed several different stores within the Kocolene organization throughout the years. She played a large role during a recent conversion to new computer software companywide providing manager training at five stores.

"Celeste's field experience and product knowledge will be real assets to our Merchandising Department," said Gary Myers.

And Todd DeHaven became operations support manager for Kocolene Marketing on Oct. 16, 2012. He began his career with Kocolene in 2006 as director of golf with Shadowood Golf LLC, a golf course and former subsidiary of Kocolene Development. After the sale of Shadowood in July 2012, DeHaven assisted the new owners with the transition until entering his new position. Currently, he is receiving field training in the Smokers Host and Fast Max Divisions of Kocolene Marketing.

"Todd has proven his leadership abilities, organizational skills and can get things accomplished. Todd will provide a fresh perspective to our Kocolene operations," Gary Myers said.
