Rudolfs resigns as executive vice president of marketing

EL DORADO, Ark. -- Murphy USA Inc. has announced that John C. Rudolfs, currently executive vice president of marketing, has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.

Rudolfs' resignation is effective immediately and his responsibilities have been reassigned to other members of the executive management team.

"In his tenure at Murphy USA, John has accomplished a great deal and helped position us as a stand-alone public company.  We appreciate his contribution to the growth of the company and wish him well for the future," said Andrew Clyde, president and chief executive officer of Murphy USA.

From 2008 to 2009, Rudolfs was president of T-Court Investments in Washington. He joined Murphy Oil Corp. in 2010 as vice president of fuel for Murphy USA Marketing Co., a division of Murphy Oil USA Inc., with more than15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. In 2011, he was named vice president of real estate and business development and promoted to executive vice president of marketing in 2012.

Rudolfs is a retired decorated officer from the U.S. Navy.

Murphy USA Inc., based in El Dorado, Ark., is focused primarily on the marketing of retail fuel products and convenience merchandise. It operates through a chain of approximately 1,190 retail fuel stations in 23 states throughout the Southern and Midwestern United States. It owns the majority of the sites, and most are adjacent to Walmart stores. The business also includes certain midstream assets, including product distribution terminals and pipeline positions.

Murphy Oil Corp. spun off Murphy USA in Aug. 2013.
