OAK BROOK, Ill. -- For the second year in a row, CSP magazine's editors have been honored with a national award for investigative journalism. CSP's February 2008 cover story"The Big $4?"has been named a finalist in the annual ASBPE Awards (or Azbees) in the category of News Analysis/Investigative.
The story, by editors Angel Abcede and Joe Bush, predicted $4-per-gallon gasoline and postulated what a retail future amid such previously unthinkable costs would look like. After consulting with dozens of industry experts, distributors and retailers, the editors [image-nocss] put together a story that talked not only of $4 gasoline, but also the advent of margins that would plummet later in the year.
