Convenience Retailing Conference 2006 salves, solves industry challenges
Published in CSP Daily News
TAMPA, Fla. -- From integrating new technologies to managing the cold vault, operational challenges persist in the convenience channel.
In just a few weeks, retailers will be arming themselves with migraine-inspired challenges, seeking a solution at the annual Convenience Retailing Conference, sponsored by Leadership Network Corp. and CSP Information Group.
Responding to the challenges is a dynamic panel of retailers featuring:
Hal Adams, vice president of merchandising at Valero Energy Corp. Brad Call, vice president of marketing [image-nocss] and general counsel at Maverik Country Stores. Steve Kimmes, senior vice president at Kum & Go. David Yamaguchi, vice president of marketing at Holiday Stationstores.
The panel headlines the Innovation Revival program that will fall on the third and final day of the conference, which runs Sunday, February 19, through Tuesday, February 21.
"Each of the gentlemen boasts years of experience in the industry, coupled with successful track records in leading their company's marketing programs, said Bryn Cotton, vice president of client relations at Leadership Network.
They will be providing useful takeaways and practical solutions to a day of category information exchange that all of the attendees have participated in, Cotton said. By sharing their diverse and unique perspectives on current marketing issues and opportunities, I'm quite confident that retailers will be returning home with new ideas on how to improve their businesses."
