Pilot Flying J, Love’s, Cumberland Farms top ranked in the industry

NEW YORK -- The latest edition of Forbes Top 50 Private Companies shows most of the convenience store retailers on the list dropping a notch or two as computer-maker Dell jumped from nowhere on the list into the No. 3 position and H.J. Heinz debuted on the list at No. 26. The list order is based on estimated revenue for the past year.

Among c-store retailers on the list, embattled Pilot Flying J continues to rank the highest, coming in at No. 7 on the list, down from No. 6 in 2012, with $30.4 billion in revenue for the year.
