Wholesale Fuel Price Trends
Now well into summer, wholesale fuel prices continued their precipitous drop--for the third week in a row in most regions of the United States.
Price declines ranged from 2.5 cents per gallon (CPG) in the Rockies--currently home to the highest fuel prices in the country--to 9.1 CPG in the West.
Diesel fuel, meanwhile, saw wholesale prices dip across the board, as well, as much as 4.7 CPG in the West and as little as 1.9 CPG in the Midwest. This includes Southeast unbranded diesel prices dipping to $2.887 per gallon, the lowest in the country in more than year.
