Nouria Energy Acquires Lampron Energy

Mass., N.H. operator reaches into Maine

SHREWSBURY, Mass. -- Nouria Energy, an owner-operator and supplier of gas stations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, has acquired Lampron Energy, a station operator and supplier of home heating oil products to more than 5,000 customers throughout Maine.

With the addition of Lampron Energy's seven company-operated and 13 owner-operated stations in Maine, Nouria Energy will now operate or supply 65 stations in three states under the Shell, Gulf and Lampron Energy brands.

The acquisition also adds two new business segments to Nouria [image-nocss] Energy's growing business portfolio. Residential and commercial customers are supplied heating oil under the Lampron Energy brand.

He added that the acquisition will make both business operations more competitive in the markets they serve.

Since 1989, when El Nemr opened his first station in Auburn, Mass., his company has grown into the Northeast's largest Shell direct retailing operation as well as a leading supplier to independently operated stations, he claimed.

Nouria Energy has been involved in the franchise convenience store concept, branded car wash offerings and the operation of a regional buying club to ensure effective cost management. The company has actively acquired existing stations, built new ones and introduced car washes, co-located restaurants and more.

There are no plans to reduce or change the Lampron's current roster of employees.
