The MagBreak makes it easy to reconnect fuel hoses that separate following a customer drive-away. Hoses are designed to break in two sections, while dual check valves keep fuel from leaking. After a drive-away occurs, the fuel marketer wants to reattach the breakaway device and get back in operation as quickly as possible. The MagBreak’s patent-pending magnetic mechanism pulls the breakaway halves back together without effort. A twist-to-lock feature indicates when the assembly is locked and reconnected. The ¾-inch MagBreak has a maximum rated pull force of 200 pounds and the ability to withstand high line-shock that can cause nuisance fuel-line separations.
