MIAMI -- One year after brining its flagship online brand V2 to convenience stores, electronic cigarette maker VMR Products has announced that its products are available in more than 50,000 traditional retail locations worldwide. More than 40,000 U.S. locations now carry V2.

The company is on track to surpass 70,000 stores by the end of 2014, it said.

Convenience store wholesalers including McLane, HT Hackney and Core-Mark sell VMR's brands, as well as most major distributors and c-store retailers, including 7-Eleven, Pilot Flying J, Sheetz, BP, Shell, Kangaroo Express and Circle K.

"Within a year, our traditional retail presence, both domestically and abroad, has grown tremendously," said Andries Verleur, CEO and co-founder of VMR Products. "Our online, and now offline, success is an indication of the value our products and brands deliver to customers, as well as retail partners. We will continue to scale our offerings even further in the months ahead."

Vapor Couture, V2's sister brand, is a line of vapor cigarettes created just for women, which the company said is the first such line available either online or offline.

Based in Miami, the company has a global presence with manufacturing, distribution and sales in more than 30 countries.
