General Mills, Mars make Fortune's 2014 "Best Companies to Work For" List

NEW YORK -- Snack, food and candy makers General Mills Inc. and Mars Inc. were among the convenience store industry companies that ranked on Fortune magazine's "Best Companies to Work For" list for 2014, joining retailers QuikTrip and Sheetz.
Each company earned its place on the list for its workplace practices, policies and procedures, and from employee feedback on company culture and work environment that Fortune gathered through independent surveys.
Minneapolis-based General Mills placed at No. 64 on this year's list. It has made the list 11 times since first appearing in 1998.

McLean. Va.-based Mars ranked at No. 76 for 2014; in 2013, it took the No. 95 slot.
