HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. -- MARS Foodservices has introduced gum to its portfolio of products, adding the Wrigley's brand. With four of the top five brands in the market, Wrigley's is the category leader in gum, the company said, with more than 58% share of the category, according to Nielsen.

As one of the fastest-growing segments in confections, gum is a popular impulse purchase with high profit potential. Wrigley's now offers foodservice operators a convenient tower display that easily fits on any register counter.

With 61% of consumers chewing gum, according to IRI , operators can earn up to $45 per weekmore than a 50% profit margin based on Wrigley bracket three pricing and a 20% distributor markup.

Exclusive to foodservice, the 15-count tower creates a huge presence in a small space. Packaged six to a casedisplay towers are available with Doublemint, Extra Fruit Sensation Sweet Watermelon, Extra Polar Ice, 5 Cobalt and 5 Rain varieties.
