Shell, Roundy's Supermarkets bring fuelperks! to Twin City shoppers

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. is teaming up with Shell North America to offer the fuelperks! rewards program to its Rainbow store shoppers in Minneapolis and St. Paul. For every $50 spent on qualified grocery purchases using the Roundy's Rewards Card, consumers will earn a five-cent discount on gasoline that is redeemable at any participating area Shell station.

"Shell is helping fill customers' tanks for less in participating markets in Minneapolis and St. Paul," said Dan Little, fuels marketing manager, Shell North America. "With participating Shell stations conveniently located throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul, it has never been easier for consumers to save on Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines, including our premium gasoline Shell V-Power."

The discount can be used on a single fillup, up to 20 gallons. The rewards are also stackable, meaning the more customers spend, the more they earn. A purchase of $100 will result in a 10-cent discount, and so on. Qualifying purchases are tracked on customers' receipt tape and the rewards are automatically added each time they meet the $50 threshold.

"We recognize that today's consumers are continually looking for increased value, and the fuelperks! rewards program provides an easy way to get more value on everyday purchases such as groceries and fuel. We encourage everyone in Minneapolis and St. Paul to sign up for a Roundy's Rewards Card to start taking advantage of the savings."

fuelperks! is operated by Dallas-based Excentus Corp.

Roundy's Supermarkets operates 159 grocery stores and 99 pharmacies in three states under the Pick 'n Save, Rainbow, Copps, Metro Market and Mariano's Fresh Market banners.
