Open Pantry extends McLane distribution agreement

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- Open Pantry Food Marts of Wisconsin Inc. has extended its service agreement with McLane Co. Inc.

"We know that extending our service agreement will provide us with the service and products we count on to grow our business, Jim Fiene, Open Pantry's senior vice president of sales and operations.

"Our pledge is to exceed Open Pantry's expectations and help them achieve their business goals," said Scott Braden, president of Temple, Texas-based McLane's Minnesota division.

Headquartered [image-nocss] in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., privately held convenience store retailer Open Pantry operates 35 corporate locations, two franchise locations and 11 dealer locations throughout Wisconsin.

Open Pantry sites feature sandwiches and salads, deserts and the Willow Creek Coffee program. The company said it is aggressively acquiring new locations to expand its convenience business.

McLane provides distribution services throughout the United States, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 customer locations, including the c-store, drug store, mass merchandise, quick-service restaurant and movie theater industries. It operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry specific software company. McLane Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
