CARY, N.C. -- The Pantry Inc. has refreshed nine Kangaroo Express convenience stores in the Fayetteville, N.C., area to feature new store offerings as part of its New at the Roo program, including an updated bakery case and a broader assortment of fresh foods and on-the-go items.
This is the second round of investments to Fayetteville-area stores as part of the program, adding to 16 stores refreshed earlier in the year.
As part of the New at the Roo program, customers will now be able to enjoy a broader assortment of fresh pastries, sandwiches and grill options for on-the-go breakfast, lunch and dinner. The new bakery case features glazed donuts, donut-holes, muffins, cheese danishes and more.
Participating stores also feature a broader selection of fountain and frozen drinks, including iced tea, and Bean Street Coffee stations with upgraded coffee accessories including a variety of coffee flavors and additions such as extra boosts of caffeine and whipped topping, allowing customers to customize their cups of Bean Street Coffee.
The refresh made to these stores are an example of how Kangaroo Express is making investments in its communities across the Southeastern United States, including plans to open more quick-serve restaurants in stores and remodel more than 70 stores.
"The investment Kangaroo Express has made to bring new fresh food offers into more than 25 Fayetteville-area stores in the past year is still just one part of our company's commitment to the Fayetteville community," said Melody Haney, regional sales director at Kangaroo Express.
To celebrate its investment in the local Fayetteville community, Kangaroo Express stores throughout the area will be celebrating with special offers, fun family activities and more than $10,000 in donations to local charities such as the United Way of Moore County and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina Sandhills branch.
"We invite the community to join us for fun family celebrations, and to experience the updates in our stores that better serve the needs of our Fayetteville guests," Haney said.
Customers can take advantage of month-long specials and promotions, including giveaways, raffles and coupons valid at all participating Kangaroo Express locations across the Fayetteville area.
Celebration events, held each Friday at select Kangaroo Express stores, will give customers a chance to try new offerings for free or a low cost. The events run from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., featuring a free small cup of Bean Street Coffee, and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., featuring 25-cent hot dogs.
