YORK, Pa. -- Rutter's Farm Stores has introduced eight new varieties of Numi-brand gourmet organic tea at each of its 50 convenience stores in York, Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania.

Many of our customers are hoping to get off to a healthful new year. Teas are associated with a whole range of health benefits, including reducing bad cholesterol, burning calories and boosting your immune system, said Brian Matlock, vice president of foodservice for Rutter's.

The eight varieties are Moonlight Spice ([image-nocss] orange spice white tea); Moroccan Mint; Sweet Meadows (chamomile lemon myrtle); Aged Earl Grey (Italian bergamot black tea); Morning Rise (breakfast blend of black teas); Temple of Heaven (gunpowder green tea); Berry Black (strawberries and raspberries blended with hibiscus, rosehips and golden-tipped Darjeeling); and Monkey King (jasmine green tea).

Moroccan Mint and Sweet Meadows are caffeine free.

The teas are sold by the cup: 12 oz. for $1.09; 16 oz. for $1.19; 20 oz. for $1.29.

Tea bags are individually wrapped in foil. Customers can add milk or sugar as desired and have access to Rutter's free condiment bar.

The teas complement Rutter's new upscale coffee program, which debuted in the fall.

York, Pa.-based Rutter's Farm Stores is part of the family-owned and third generation-managed Rutter's companies, which also include Rutter's Dairy and M&G Realty, a real-estate holding company.
