Larson Joins Boyds Coffee
Will serve as COO for roaster

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Tim Larson has joined Boyds Coffee as chief operating officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience in procurement and business leadership.
"I am extremely confident in Tim's ability to rapidly create operational efficiencies that will benefit our customers," said Jeffrey Newman, CEO of Boyds Coffee. "He has an impressive record of success in reducing operating costs, improving supply-side relationships, expanding operational logistics, and enhancing customer service."
Previously, Larson was chief procurement officer at Michael Foods Inc., a multi-billion dollar company in Minneapolis.
He is an adjunct professor and a member of the Supply Chain Advisory Board at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, and his certifications include Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified in Production and Inventory Management and Certified Packaging Professional.
Established in 1900 in Portland, Ore., and continuously led by the Boyd family, Boyds Coffee offers fine hot and iced teas, cappuccinos, frozen beverages and a wide variety of beverage equipment. Boyds is the Pacific Northwest's longest-operating coffee roaster and North America's first certified organic roaster, it said.
