Beverage company strengthens resources in convenience store channel

LAKE ZURICH, Ill. --Insight Beverages has announced that John Notte has joined the company as senior sales manager.

"More than ever, beverages are playing an important role in foodservice growth strategies. We're excited to again expand our resources to partner and grow hot, cold and frozen dispensed beverage programs in the convenience channel," said Sharon Porter, director of sales and marketing.

Notte brings extensive experience in the beverage industry, including the convenience channel, to his new position. His strong background in operational execution and beverage strategy building skills, along with proven product knowledge, will further bolster Insight Beverages' ability to provide category vision and solutions to its customers.

Notte joins Insight Beverages from Giant Eagle Inc./GetGo convenience stores, where he held the position of category manager of dispensed beverages and coffee. In this role, Notte managed all category responsibilities for 190 locations and led the sourcing and deployment of a new coffee line for both convenience store and grocery formats. In addition, Notte was responsible for the development of specialty coffee and smoothie programs while overseeing their implementation in 50 locations.

Prior to his tenure at GetGo, he served as category manager of dispensed and specialty beverages at Sheetz, Inc. Initially, John led specialty beverage development and deployment for 385 locations and later assumed responsibility for all dispensed beverage categories. His responsibilities also included beverage product R&D, private label coffee procurement, contract negotiations and leading the Sheetz Event Marketing Team.

Lake Zurich, Ill.-based Insight Beverages provides customers with practical, innovative business solutions through a diverse mix of specialized, proprietary products and custom services.
