YoBlendz creates c-store franchise model
Published in Convenience Store Products
Build-your-own frozen yogurt restaurant brand YoBlendz has taken its franchise model and structured it for the c-store industry. The company is appealing to retailers’ unproductive square footage with a franchise program with no sales reporting, low franchise fees and a flat annual royalty rate.
YoBlendz2Go allows c-store customers to customize their frozen yogurt treat with various flavors and toppings, while paying a flat by-the-cup price.
The wide range of frozen yogurt flavors at traditional YoBlendz stores include New Orleans praline, snickerdoodle cookie dough, and acai energy-vitamin nonfat yogurts; mango, watermelon and pink lemonade nonfat sorbets; chocolate and vanilla gelatos; and blueberry and raspberry nonfat tarts. Toppings run the gamut from seasonal fruits such as kiwi and honeydew to dry toppings such as Kit Kat and Fruity Pebbles.
Headquartered in Weston, Fla., the company began franchising in 2010. Currently, YoBlendz has 10 locations in Miami, Plantation, Sunrise, Weston and Wilton Manors, Fla., with plans to open additional sites in South Florida and throughout the country in 2013.
