Growler program added at APlus stores in Syracuse, Albany, other markets, with more planned

PHILADELPHIA -- Sunoco has expanded the Craft Beer Exchange at its APlus convenience stores across the state of New York with several locations in both the Syracuse and Albany markets.

Started as a pilot program in the Buffalo market, the Craft Beer Exchange offers customers across multiple markets in New York a unique selection of up to 12 rotating craft beers available to-go in 64-ounce growlers. Customers looking for variety in their craft beer experience can also create their own six packs from selection of 12-ounce single bottles for $9.99. Selections change seasonally and include excellent craft beers from well-regarded microbreweries such as Long Trail, Ithaca, Victory, Flying Bison, Troegs, Red Hook, Smuttynose and Brooklyn.

On the heels of the Craft Beer Exchange's expansion into the Rochester market in November, Sunoco will add multiple new locations in the Syracuse market.

In addition to the new locations in Syracuse, Sunoco APlus' Craft Beer Exchange will be featured at more than 30 locations across the state of New York. The new locations are in Albany, Alleghany, Essex, Monroe, Livingston, Lewis, Onondaga, Oneida and St. Lawrence counties.

The Craft Beer Exchange began with 12 locations in western New York in the summer of 2011 (see Related Content below for previous CSP Daily News coverage).

"We have decided to expand the Craft Beer Exchange based on the success we have had in the Buffalo and Rochester markets," said Wendy Lyman, Sunoco's beverage category manager. "Now, craft beer fans across the entire state of New York can stop by one of our nearly 50 locations for growlers and six packs of their favorite microbrews."
