FDA Adds Four State Contracts

Retail Inspections to begin in Georgia, Hawaii, Oklahoma and Utah

This past week, the FDA announced that new contracts to conduct retail compliance inspections were awarded to the Georgia Department of Revenue (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division), the Hawaii Department of Health (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division), the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Law Enforcement Commission and the Utah Department of Health.Also, contracts previously awarded to several states to conduct compliance inspections were renewed, including the states of Alabama, Kansas, Oklahoma and Washington. This  means that 35 states and the District of Columbia are not conducting retail compliance inspections.
