Web Marketing Association bestows honor for second year in a row
ELMHURST, Ill. -- With entries from top agencies worldwide, the 11th annual Internet Advertising Competition was filled with impressive, imaginative designs and even greater expectations. For the second consecutive year, KelloggsConvenience.com was named Best Food Website in the food industry category by the Web Marketing Association. Elite judges of the competition included media experts, advertising executives, web site designers, content providers and webmasters from around the globe.
"It's an honor to be recognized again as an industry leader in marketing excellence," said Susan Wasco, Kellogg director of marketing.
The website, which launched in 2011, was developed and designed by one of Kellogg's agency partners Miron Communications, a virtual agency specializing in strategic marketing communications. By combining creativity, great products, talented individuals and inspiration from the entire Kellogg's organization, KelloggsConvenience.com is a tool for retailers. The website features content, product information and promotion ideas. It also includes registered access to Grow My Store, a section offering valuable insights, methods for driving traffic, profit calculators, marketing tips, planograms and more.
With more than 146,000 convenience stores across the country, this information is critical to retailers, helping them understand competitors and maximize their potential, the company said.
"We're proud to be named Best Food Website two years in a row," said Kimberly Belson, Kellogg customer marketing manager. "It's exciting to know that retailers are utilizing all our site has to offer to help them build their businesses with our trusted brands."
The goal of the Web Marketing Association, sponsor of the WebAwards, is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective Web sites on the Internet today. The annual international WebAwards competition sets the standard of excellence in 96 industry categories by evaluating Web sites and defining benchmarks based on the seven essential criteria of successful Web site development.
