CVS/pharmacy Launches Revamped Gold Emblem Private-Label Snack Line

Updates packaging, adds nutritional information to front
WOONSOCKET, R.I. -- CVS/pharmacy has revamped and expanded its Gold Emblem private-brand line, which includes a wide variety of snacks, dessert items, beverages and groceries. Among the more than 250 products included in the line are nuts, trail mixes, chips, pretzels, dried fruits, candies, cookies, spices, juices, condiments, baking essentials and breakfast bars.
Introduced in 1995, Gold Emblem was one of the first private-brand food lines created by a major drugstore chain, the company said. It is now the No. 1 brand in cookies, candy and nuts sold at CVS/pharmacy.
Updates to the newly relaunched line include a contemporary identity and package re-design that embodies the commitment to meeting a very high taste standard, as well as a refined taste-test approval process used to evaluate every item that is branded with the Gold Emblem name.
