Customer gets choice of Billboard MP3 download, Redbox disc with 44-oz. fountain drink
SAN ANTONIO -- Valero Retail Holdings Inc. has announced that its Corner Store locations are giving a gift of free music or free movie nights with every 44-ounce fountain drink purchase. The stores are ready to give away more than three million code numbers that enable consumers to make their choice of music or movies.
The music choice gives the consumer a free MP3 music download from Billboard and the movie choice gives the consumer a free one-night DVD rental from Redbox.
"The promotion is simple: Go to Corner Store and buy a 44-ounce fountain drink, pull off the tab, go to www.CornerStore4U.com and click on the promotion, then enter the unique code found on your 44-oz. fountain cup," said Hal Adams, vice president of retail merchandising at Valero. "We are building on the success of giving music away last year by adding the choice of music or movies. I think the hardest part will be deciding which one you want--a music download or a movie night--but that is part of the fun as consumers can come back all summer long while supplies last."
In addition to Billboard and Redbox, Corner Stores partnered with Creative Link Studio Inc. to power the offer through unique codes placed on all 44-oz. promotional fountain cups. This limited-time promotion will last until Aug. 30, 2012, or until all the promotional cups are gone.
