Major bottled-water companies put money behind sparkling in recent years as several independent brands launched with a variety of flavored sparkling waters. It shows with healthy double-digit growth in convenience stores, including sales up nearly 50% for the 52 weeks ending Jan. 26, 2014, based on data from IRI, a Chicago-based market research firm (@iriworldwide).
