PaySpot Introduces 'epay'
New worldwide brand unites "sister" prepaid companies
  - ADVERTISEMENT -
LEAWOOD, Kansas -- PaySpot Inc., a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide Inc. and a leading prepaid and payments processor in the United States, has announced a new worldwide brand under the name epay. Previously, one of six brand names operating under the Prepaid Division of Euronet, PaySpot has rebranded with its sister prepaid companies to become the united global brand of epay.

The epay Division is a leading worldwide payment and cash collection network and the largest processor of electronic mobile top-up transactions. As a single global division, epay will offer a product portfolio including top-up or recharge services for prepaid mobile airtime, prepaid debit cards and e-wallets; bill payment services, road tolls and money transfer; and marketing and distribution services for gift cards, digital content and transport applications.

Eric Mettemeyer, president of epay Americas, said, With our new resources as epay, we have extended our connections to offer cutting-edge products and services. As a result of our heightened collaboration as a division, epay Americas has already integrated with epay Germany's platform to provide loyalty solutions to help retain valuable customers as part of its proprietary gift card offering."

Although the legal name for the U.S. company will continue to be PaySpot Inc., epay is the new consumer brand name. All customer-facing materials are being transitioned in a multi-phase rollout which began with the launch of the new epay Division brand. Payspot is based in Leawood, Kansas.

Launched in 2002 as PaySpot and rebranded July 2009 to its current name, epay offers a comprehensive array of prepaid products and payment solutions, including prepaid wireless, prepaid long distance, prepaid gift cards, prepaid debit cards, international mobile recharge, check guarantee, merchant processing and prepaid handsets, as well as bill payment and money transfer in conjunction with its affiliate RIA Financial Services. The epay system supports online electronic top-up at retail locations via a range of POS terminals or through integrated electronic cash registers for retailers with multiple locations and multiple checkout points.

epay, a division of Euronet Worldwide, is a global business with a retail network of approximately 227,000 locations across a number of international markets including the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Poland, Romania, Austria, Switzerland and Ireland. epay enables service providers to deliver electronic payment products and services to consumers through an extensive worldwide retail network. epay's proprietary payment technology is backed by a cash collection service that manages the payment of funds back to the service providers and a range of marketing solutions to assist both the retailer and service provider to maximize their sales opportunities.

In 2008, epay processed over 700 million payment transactions with a total face value of $11 billion. epay's product portfolio includes top-up or recharge services for prepaid mobile airtime, prepaid debit cards and e-wallets; payment services for bills, road tolls and money transfer; and marketing and distribution services for gift cards, digital content and transport tickets. epay's commitment to customers is supported by a strong roadmap of innovative new epayment products to bring to market. epay's corporate headquarters is located in London.
