High's Speed Ordering
Dairy stores deploying Radiant systems

HANOVER, Md. -- High's of Baltimore Inc. and Radiant Systems Inc. have inked an agreement to deploy multiple Radiant customer self-service kiosks in more than 50 of the mid-Atlantic retailer's 82 High's Dairy Stores.
"Experience, reliability and ease-of-use were keys to our decision," said Benjamin Jatlow, special projects manager at High's. Using Radiant's graphical and intuitive touchscreen kiosks, High's customers will have the opportunity to custom order menu offerings such as breakfast items, subs, wraps, soups, salads and High's hand-dipped ice cream. Radiant has deployed more than 5,000 customer self-service ordering kiosks with many of the top convenience retailers in the country, enabling made-to-order sandwich programs, specialty coffee offerings and a variety of other complex menus.

Properly designed and implemented self-service solutions are proven to improve the speed of customer service, increase upsells and help ensure order accuracy. Radiant maximizes these benefits by offering a variety of built-for-purpose indoor and outdoor hardware platforms, out-of-the-box integration with kitchen production technology and consulting expertise that allows for rapid design and optimal deployment of the solution. High's of Baltimore is a privately owned and operated company established in 1947 and now based in Hanover, Md.

The company is owned by the Darnell family, and currently owns and operates 82 convenience stores in Maryland and Delaware under the trade name High's Dairy Stores, including 53 store/station combinations with gasoline, diesel and kerosene fuels. The stores sell a range of convenience items, including bread, High's branded dairy and ice cream products, deli sandwiches and wraps, coffee and fountain drinks, old-fashioned milkshakes and assorted grocery items. Atlanta-based Radiant Systems is a global provider of technology to the hospitality and retail industries. Its hardware and software solutions are deployed in more than 85,000 restaurants, retail stores, cinemas, c-stores, fuel centers and other customer-service venues across more than 100 countries.
