PepsiCo continues bottler integration with direct-store delivery for c-store channel

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- PepsiCo Inc. is changing its method of distribution for its Gatorade products in the convenience store, UDS ("up and down the street") and dollar store channels of trade from a warehouse-delivered go-to-market system to direct-store delivery (DSD) through both company-owned and independent bottlers in the United States and Canada.

PLANO, Texas -- Snapple is extending the availability of the limited-time Diet Snapple Trop-A-Rocka Tea created by Bret Michaels with additional production runs. The flavor was developed as part of the final task on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice and was expected to be available for three months; however, it sold out as quickly as it was put on store shelves.

CHICAGO -- MillerCoors has introduced the Coors Light Silver Bullet Aluminum Pint. The 16-oz. resealable aluminum pint is the brand's most portable innovation to date and officially hits shelves nationwide September 1.
