Selects BrightWave Marketing as email marketing, social media agency
ATLANTA -- RaceTrac Petroleum has selected BrightWave Marketing as its email marketing and social media agency. The appointment is effective immediately. RaceTrac has chosen BrightWave Marketing, an agency specializing in email marketing and digital targeting messaging programs, to enhance and manage its email communications and build stronger interactive relationships with its loyal customer base for its RaceTrac Insiders program. BrightWave Marketing was also assigned social media duties, including optimizing and managing its Facebook marketing efforts and providing Message Monitoring on social networks, including Twitter.

Tech firm delivers PCI-compliant VPN network
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Delta Sonic Car Wash Systems is using Vyatta appliances to secure its credit-card transactions. Belmont, Calif.-based Vyatta is a leader in open networking and network virtualization. Delta Sonic has deployed 28 Vyatta 514 appliances, one at each of its retail locations in New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois to transmit credit card and cardholder information from point-of-sale (POS) systems to two Vyatta 2501 appliances at the company's headquarters in Buffalo.

| Pricing, analytics software firm becomes member of industry tech standards group
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- KSS Inc. said that it has become a member of the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS). Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS, said that joining PCATS is necessary to ensure a simplified, plug-in-play integration between KSS' pricing systems and most point-of-sale (POS) and backoffice platforms.
